Planning a party

1. ZaraRight, everyone. Mr Okafor leaves on Friday. We have only four days to plan the surprise.
2. PriyaWhat shall we do? A party in the classroom?
3. SamI think so. We could do it at lunchtime, when he is in the staff room.
4. ZaraBut somebody has to keep him busy. Sam, could you ask him a question about maths?
5. SamSure. I could say I need help with my homework.
6. PriyaGood plan. I will bring the cake. My mum can bake a chocolate one tonight.
7. ZaraPerfect. I will make a card, and everyone in the class can sign it.
8. SamWhat about decorations? We need balloons and a banner.
9. PriyaI have some balloons at home. Could you bring a banner, Sam?
10. SamI will draw one on a long piece of paper. What should it say?
11. ZaraThank you, Mr Okafor, for a brilliant year.
12. PriyaLovely. What time shall we start?
13. ZaraLet us all meet in the classroom at twelve fifteen. Remember, nobody must say a word.
14. SamMy lips are sealed. Mr Okafor will be so surprised.
15. PriyaHe will probably cry. But happy tears, I hope.
