Teacher notes

  • Give an answer and a reason.
  • Pairs take turns to pick a card, read it aloud and ask their partner. The partner answers, then asks a follow-up question.
  • Keep the cards on the table face down, or use them as a warm-up: one card for the whole class, answered in pairs.
  • Cut up and keep in an envelope for a quick activity at any time.
