Shift and capital letters
Lesson fifteen. To type a capital letter, hold Shift with the little finger of your other hand, then press the letter. For a capital A, hold the right Shift. For a capital J, hold the left Shift.
Keys in this lesson:
- Shift

Tip: Use the Shift key on the opposite side to the letter. Let go of Shift as soon as the letter appears.
Ready? Sit up tall with your feet flat, put your fingers on the home row, and look at the screen, not your hands. Have a break after about 15 minutes.

For grown-ups
There are 4 short exercises. The tutor waits for the right key, so mistakes cannot pile up, and it shows accuracy and words per minute at the end of each one. The mini test is passed at 90% accuracy. Speed is not part of the pass mark unless you switch on Speed goals (goal for this lesson: 12 words per minute). Progress is saved only in this browser.
